Parent Involvement:Evenings

In the evenings is a great time to help out the community and the school. Many of the projects listed below help out your children rather than the school, but that is no reason not to do them! We encourage you to participate in these activities, as they can benefit everyone..

  • Help your child's school in operating and organizing a phone tree-Designed to improve parent communication, it would create a better interparent dynamic and better facilitate quick communication.
  • Field Trip Coordinator-Planning field trips can be difficult for busy teachers, but the volunteer parents easily make up the slack and have cooperated on many of our district's trips.
  • Help out the school with fundraising-A little time and encouragement in this field earns the school more money that can benefit the community.
  • School beautification projects-Perfect for those who like working with their hands, this includes painting, building benches, or other projects of a similar nature.
  • Special events support-Help with the planning and execution of Carnivals, math nights, family nights, or other events allows more of them to take place and with better results.
  • Sit with your children and read/do homework-By showing interest in their schoolwork, you reinforce the value of their education and insure continued interest in it.
